Wow, im very impressed, this is the first true open world RPG I have played since Golden sun. The visuals arent even as bad as people make them be, the performence/ Fr isnt bad at all, that patch really did help it seems.

The 1st hour was ok, but after that it has been an amazing experience thus far, Id say its my 3rd best game this year, and who knows it may climb  to 2nd best..

Ahh... nice to hear you like an open-world game, and not just that, but Fallout 3! :)

Now I just have to know, did you ever try Oblivion or give it an honest chance?

Fallout 3 is one of the greatest RPG experiences i've had in my life, and that's saying a lot since i began playing RPG's since the first of the Ultima series for the PC.
I loved the first two fallouts, especially the second one (holy hand grenade of antioch anyone? XD) but this one has set a new standart for open-world rpg's in my opinion.
I'm just waiting for the DLC and the extra hours of fun that it will bring.
I've just got to say, keep going Bethesda and bring us Elder Scrolls 5 ;)

cosigned.

a totally new standard.

now over 100 + hours into this thing and still only 1 main quest done taking great care not to break the main quest when heading out. I've never seen anything like this at all. i was pretty confident Fable 2 was going to be my game of the year but Fallout 3 is it for me and the more i play the more Fallout 3 separates itself from the rest.

bye the way for the one's that's just getting going, your going to be finding places along the way you may not have time to investigate at the time. take some notes to remind yourself, it helps as there is a lot of places to go and things to do.

Yep, i'm a girl

I really enjoy this game, I just need to go back and beat it. I keep getting distracted by other games.

70 Hours in, 100% Complete... Nuff Said :P lol

Sucks that I finished most of the game before the trophies came out tho :/

FACK I am REALLY hoping that the Broken Steel expansion comes for the PS3 as well... :P

Fallout 3 is my GOTY...Hands down. I don't own it yet, but it's one of the rare titles I'd ever rent then buy (rented due to insufficient funds).

Can't wait to buy it and get the DLC for Anchorage. I wasn't into Fallout before this one (was oh-so close to buying F1 when it released, but didn't realize it was a hardcore RPG).

IMO, Fallout 3 has some of the most awesome 'generational leap' qualities in it for a RPG that make me very happy for the future of the genre. I hope that new developers take VATS and refine it to what it should, and could become.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The VATS system is nice, just not extroardinarily good imo.

I love the fact that my friend beat it in 18 hours, he went straight through the main quest.. I didnt believe him at first.

IM afraid if I dont beat the game soon, I wont be able to play LBP or my other games in my vacation =s

READ THIS THREAD !!!

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=49478

That thread I made awhile back pretty much sums up my feeling on Fallout 3, this is also imo the best rant ive done. Ive gotten overall a little bit over the ending from when I made this post though... Like I said I hope Broken Steel comes to the PS3 as well so I get to personally experience a new ending and get to continue on after the end :P

I havent beaten the game, so Im not reading that thread XD
