It will break 1 million by March or April and go on to sell 2 million at least. The games is starting to the that "buzz" that is required for a Wii game to become a huge hit. I hear people who are not core in the least bit talking about the game.

Maybe they are talking about it because Call of Duty is one of the biggest series on Earth right now? You may also hear people talking about Wii Fit, Halo, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Mario Kart, etc. and not be core gamers. It's called popularity and word of mouth. Someone's girlfriend, or mother, or Uncle, or non-gaming friend may have heard of Call of Duty because there are over 10 million people playing it and sometimes the name gets around because people won't shut up about it. My mother knows what Call of Duty is, and she is a complete non-gamer. She won't even play the Wii. This doesn't necessarily mean they are showing interest in purchasing it. They just happen to know it exists.
Frankly the only way I see COD: WaW approaching 2 million is if Activision skips out on giving the Wii Modern Warfare 2, otherwise I say it's sales will be replaced by MW2 when it comes out.

people are talking about the Wii version, non-traditional gamers who like Wii controls are interested in playing a Game set in WW2 (and most likely modern warfare too) on these controls. They dont like the traditional gamepads.
Also, did you note I made this thread on cmas, before brett adjust it up a bit, it appears it needed more. I still think 2 million is tough, and not a sure thing... but I think it can do it.
But if anything, this is a good sign for the Conduit, a FPS game that is clearly over shadowed by 2 monsters is seeing solid sales, I think the Conduit which will have the spotlight to itself can shine if its quality Warrents it.

What exactly are "people" saying? Do you have conversations you want to run off?
Also what you just said about this being good for the Conduit completely contradicts what you said earlier in the thread. Reposted:
I know several people who are not interested in Halo/Resitance games, but like Tom Clancy/ Call of Duty esque stuff. Also, parents buy games for stupid reasons. I actually know a parent who bought CoD:WaW for their kid because of its "historical" value compared to other games, also someone who is very Patriot would be intruiged by a WW2 game or Modern Warfare, or a kid who wants to be a soldier when he grows up. IMO most scifi type people are already "gamer" types, they may not be hard core, but gaming is "in" for them.
So which is it? Frankly I'm not buying what you're saying for one reason. This is all about upstreaming and downstreaming as part of Blue Ocean or disruption or whatever, and Nintendo has always been one step ahead of the curve. If they don't have an FPS-ish game to bring in the fold, then I don't think it's "non-traditional gamers" primarily purchasing this. Is it really hard to believe that 470K "core" gamers on the Wii purchased COD: WaW? It seems that with 45 million sold, maybe a few FPS fans slipped in there somewhere. Even if it does happen to reach 2 million somehow, I don't see how that supports it being picked up by the non-traditional crowd.

how is that contridictory? I think WW2 is more appealing to casuals than SciFi. So? Does not mean that COD:WaW introducing more people to Wii FPS controls will not help the conduit. Think about it, like in several examples given people are trying COD:WaW BECAUSE of the familiar setting. If they are enjoying the game, they will most likely here about the conduit, since it is really starting to get some hype.
basically, getting more people interested in Wii FPS controls can only help the conduit. I recently was not hyped up on Wii fps controls, but I finally got around to play MP3 (had on my shelf 4 like 3 months). I thought it was a amazing, and I am not hungry for more Wii FPS games, I already bought COD:WAW for the PS3, so I am hoping the conduit is pretty good.
