IF KZ2 scores an average 9.2 or below, it'll get the same mediocre sales that Resistance 2 did. It'll have to have spectacular reviews and multiplayer for it to catch on.

KZ 2 has no reason to give the PS3 a bigger bump than what Resistance 2 did... All PS3 games are hyped for their awsome graphix, how will one with even better graphics (until uncharted 2 comes out) will change anything to that...

You should expect KZ2 to sell in the exact lines of resistance 2.


so in short... halo wars by itself should be the weight to counter KZ2 based on brand name alone.

I think people overestimate killzone 2 just like they overestimated Resistance 2, it's going to be a good shooter with pretty graphics but sales? What do people really expect?

I agree its not like there will be a midnight launch and 2 million copies of this title will sell the first day Iam getting it and if its awesome it might be the reason my son gets a PS3 also.

my SOn and I love halo series but Iam not intrested in Halo wars is RTS is not my bag really its not.

Those four minor exclusives will have little effect on sales in the long run. Killzone 2 will still sell plenty of copies and move some hardware, but until Sony lowers the price we won't see any significant change in sales numbers.

I think most pople have got it pretty much spot on when they say it will really be the hardcore fans looking forward to KZ2, it won't be a hardware seller. That will be a price cut.

But let's not get ourselves carried away with the expectations of KZ2. It's history isn't great and it doesn't exactly have Halo's fanbase. If a game with rich history like MGS4 sells roughly 4 million, I can't see KZ2 beating that. We are talking about owners of a console that didn't go out and buy system exclusives such LBP and R2 in droves.

You really love your ps3...we all can see that.

But Sony,like MS, is a corporation that thinks of profit and will not drop the price of the ps3 or will it be adding the BC on the ps3 or the trade-in program... at least MS dropped the price and released the Jasper models,can`t go wrong with that.

You are supporting the Playstation brand because ... of the first party games,my guess... The ps2 supporters moved where the games moved...xbox 360 offcourse

i think that KillZone 2 will play out exactly like heavenly sword, lair, and little big planet. It will be a heavily hyped game with good reviews that is be hailed as the "savior" of the ps3 but in the end sales wont agree.. my two cents
