What if someone had to choose between both games (having both systems) because they only had enough for one and Halo 3: ODST was the cheaper buy?

they will all sell high amounts... if you count 40 million as high. Although we can certainly exclude the wii.
There is a difference this time though: recession, and the price is already in the "sweet spot"

I think they will all sell much more than 40 million.. if microsoft or sony or nintendo dont decide to just start the new generation early.
I meant the ps3 will sell around 40 million. Right now, as the way things look, xbox might keep a 10 million lead by the end of the generation. And, citing another thread, there won't be an "exclusives pipeline" for either console.
Although console exclusives will probably be phased out for the firsty party games for MS. You know, those "really real" exclusives

KZ2 will end the Wii's dominance just like GTAIV did.
But seriously, one game will not turn the tide for the PS3's favor. It will sell consoles and get big sales for itself IMO, but it won't suddenly push the PS3 past the 360. It may happen later in the future, however I don't think that KZ2's release will be the important factor that does that.

Who knows? With Microsoft being able to control their pricing better than Sony, they could create a 20 M+ lead over the PS3 by the end of the gen. They should have a 10 M lead by next april unless Sony cuts price.
well.. 5+ lead each year... for the next... how many years? 3? You might have something there.. Year over year kind of thing, anyway. But sony will fight back. 2009 will be THE year to decide the ps360 fate.

killzone 2 will sell very well but will not move so much hardware,price cut a week before its release yeah thats another story

WTF do you have with ninja blade guys? It's from "from software" ... Forget about it. GTA DLC is just a DLC so ... SO4 will do ok, Halo wars will do good, but not "halo good".
