Forums - Microsoft - Left 2 Die?

The campaigns are pretty short, so there isn't much of a point in saving.

EDIT: If I recall though, you could always just start at whatever map you want to start in. Dunno if it only applies to co-op.

The demo on Xbox Live included online coop and it was really great. I ordered this game 10 days ago from UK (I am German) but haven't received it yet. The retailer said he has problems to get the UK version. Don't know why.

I think it might sell 1.75 million, which is a great success for valve. The PC-version should sell very well, too. The game uses the source-engine (which looks pretty good considering the age) so Valve does not need to pay the fees for using it.

I a word:

Valve will be profitable with that game. AND a Left 4 Dead 2 might be a perfect game to show the strength of the new graphic-engine developed by Valve.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

VS starts at the beginning of the campaign each time, but in campaign mode, you can choose which of the 5 maps to start at...so if you quit halfway through, you can start on that map if you want.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Yeah I just got the game for Christmas and so far I've just played through the No Mercy campaign. Great game, I like how the Infected resemble those from 28 Days Later. I just wish there was some backstory for the characters and the virus outbreak, but I guess the game is good enough to not need it.

Love this game.....one of my favorites this Gen. I predict 1.5 mil lifetime. Valves has stated that an expansion is possible via download on Steam and Live, but no time-frame. I predict 2 additional chapters, (1200 MS) points?

I have some major technical issues with left 4 dead so hopefully they fix those first before workign on a sequel.

-sometimes there is major lag, and I know it isn't because of my connection.
-party system sucks. I started the game many times with a frined only to get booted for some reason and that spot gets filled in 30 seconds so I cant rejoin.
-people play as zombies one round and then they drop, making it game over.

This needs a halo like matchmaking system...but then again, every FPS game would be better with halo like matchmaking.

So hopefully it sells enough for Valve to consider fixing some things...

And people playing as Zombies often push objects in the way so the humans cannot progress further....Thats really annoying.

If you ever find something like that...make a video of it and submit it to Valve...they fixed a couple things like that within a day or two.

This was an unexpected X-Mas gift from my mother in law to my kids. I swear I have the only 6 and 7 yr. olds that like so much zombie shit. I finished the No Mercy campaign with my youngest and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. These are some cool ass zombies, I like how if you dick around too long in an area you get the bum rush outta nowhere. That kinda pushes you to keep up the pace and.... ummm, get attacked by Hunters and Tanks. The wife even picked up the controller for this game, that hasn't happened since Perfect Dark on the 64. The A.I. teamates were pissing me off at times by stepping into my line of fire and then bitching about getting blasted with shotty pellets but they more than made up for it by saving my ass when I was on the ground getting attacked and also randomly healing me. I have yet to venture online but I can imagine that it's gonna be great. Oh and as far as a prediction, I think 2 mil. lifetime is very realistic. I think word of mouth is gonna play a bigger role than normal.
