Forums - Sony - 1 game, difficult choice. Persona 4 or Valkyria Chronicles?

I have both and Persona 4 is by far better than VC. Better story, characters and gameplay. Valkyria Chronicles' story kinda bores me a bit. I still haven't finished it; stopped playing around 30 hours but the gameplay is pretty awesome. I'm already 50+ hours in Persona 4 and haven't gotten bored.

Both!!! Damned bro this is the hardest question ever. I probably rent money or work a day so I can buy them both.

I will most likely be picking up the both of them, but one of the biggest things with me is how long will each of these be available? I still see plenty of P3 when I go into a gaming store, but Valkyria Chronicles is already getting scarce. I expect P4 will stick around a while too just like P3 but some people here say it may end up rare as well.

Well I also just got The Last Remnant. The SaGa team are in fact the greatest in the world and makes the greatest games ever, so I should be occupied for a while, so 1 game is enough, although I could actually pick up both if I wanted to seeing as how P4 is only $39.99.

If anyone here has played both I would like to ask a couple questions that will make the decision a bit easier.

Which game has the better story?

How long before the game and/or storyline even gets started? P3 took over 2+ hours before I even got started, is it the same if not longer for P4? How long for VC?

Thanks for the answers so far everyone. P4 looks like the smart buy but at the same time Valkyria Chronicles looks beautiful and I heard the storyline is pretty good.

Well, the first time around for Valkyria Chronicles, it took me around 32 hours, because I am not a person into RPGs, but if you are really smart at strategy, it should take around 7 hours to complete. Thats how long it took me to beat it and get straight A's across the board the second time around

I would most likely take 30+ because I am not the greatest when it comes to SRPGs but I enjoy playing them. If I can speed run through it the next time though in under 10 hours that is good too.

I think I may end up getting Valkyria Chronicles this weekend and P4 sometime in January unless I see it vanishing rather quickly and i'll snap one up before they are gone.

P4 just came out and keep in mind retailers are going to have that for a while with VC now only selling like 77k In NA i think you should play it safe and get VC before SEGA announces they stopped making copies you might get lucky and find deals on Boxing day

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Valkyria Chronicles because I don't have a PS2 anymore and my PS3 can't play PS2 games.

^ Well, my PS3 is a 60Giger so I can play both.
