Well the VG Chartz numbers seems accurate:

Pretty nice for a budget game.

And it won't matter if the game is any good, because it's not a multimillion dollar bloodfest with loads of shading and mapping, thus casual crap.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I can't wait for a "Wii don't have self estime" game...

awesome another million seller on wii!

i thought this needed a bump

Namco-Bandai have more success on Wii than in any other console

So the first of the third party Balance board games hits it's million, with the Rabbids and Shaun White coming soon after.

Looks like that Board is going to see a lot of success.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Not bad VGC. Telling people about million sellers before anyone else is good for our rep.

A peripheral being a success. And conventional wisdom is that you never make games depending on those.

But when you have a hit game putting the item at about a quarter of the userbase, that changes a few things.

Oh, and guess who I blame.

Well its not surprising either that it did a million. Was the first one to incorporate the balance really for something other than the Wii Fit. I mean let's face it the balance board is quite an innovation for gaming as it expands gaming past just the upper body but allows it to use the lower body as well. Thus the skiing game was perfect and it really took off. Namco took a risk with the game and came out on top. I congratulate them and I'm happy to see the success of the peripheral. It means more games will use it in the future which I'd be intrigued to see how they turn out. Already got snowboarding, party, and skating games. Why not a surfing?
