Forums - Microsoft - GTA4 360 exclusive DLC good/bad?

Here's the real deal: GTA 4 nay the entire GTA series, the story line isn't so important. It's the environments the vehicles. Half the fun is walking around doing your own thing. Extra missions? I'm sure they will be fun and sell well. But as a PS3 owner I'm happy that Sony chose to devote it's resources on first party exclusives and MGS4 (at least timed exclusive). By the time this DLC comes out I won't even be giving it a second thought because I'll be playing Killzone 2 with RE5 right around the corner. A smart move by Sony? Grab some new multiplayer modes I'm sure that would have cost much less.

Well, I'm glad that you have great games to play.  But, I'm glad I held onto my copy of GTA IV because I like the stories (they're the only reason I play the games), and am happy to have some new content coming soon.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

The stories are great on GTA4 and the game is great, but thinking about it noone is gonna play it next year with great PS3 exclusives so it really doesnt matter to Sony much. However 360 definetly has a worse exclusive line up than PS3 in 2009 so people may still buy it on 360. All in all I think Microsoft have made a big mistake

Help I cant get my trophy card to work.

If they made a big mistake why are you complaining about it

Good for people who have a 360 I guess.

I never really cared about it and that feeling only dropped the more time I played GTAIV.

It better be good because 50m is a lot of money

I don't know i this has already been said, but those 50 million dollars were a loan. Rockstar has to pay Microsoft back the 50 million dollars.

hmmm, what ??? who said that, i never heard about it,,, microsoft are now a Santa close ???
i know for a fact that the 50 millions are for securing the god damn dlc,,, and ruining the ps3 party,,, and buy securing exclusive stuff it means spending cash , not providing loans !

Currently Playing: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), White Knight Chronicles (PS3), PES 2010 (PS3), Killzone 2 (PS3)

Games to Finish: Silent hill Homecoming (PS3), Valkyria Chronicles (PS3), Oblivion (PS3)

Ok make no mistake people this guy is a troll.

Personal opinion as to who has the better lineup, as always Sony announce their exclusives years/months in adfance. Nintendo and Microsoft play by a different ball game. People WILL buy it on the 360 make no mistake about that.

It was an advanced payment. Kind of like how big-shot authors receive advanced payments for their projects. Microsoft expects the DLC to generate over $50 million in sales and their cut of the revenue is 30%. They pay Rockstar their cut of 70% in advance and in return receive exclusive DLC. However, if the DLC doesn't generate over $50 million in sales then Rockstar will have to return some of the advanced payment.

In other words, a loan.

Lol no PS3 just has blu ray and more CPU power needed for these games

??????????????????????'...

Proof that some PS3 fanboys are biased fanatics.

The guy doesn't sound like a biased fanatic at all. It honestly doesnt seem like he means to troll. He is probably just not as well informed as you.

OT: The Lost and the Damned is looking to shape up beatifully. Unfortunately you will not be able to play it on your PS3 because MS bought the exclusivity rights. I do believe you will get some form of DLC love from Rockstar, but it will not be this one.

@BTFeather - It would be absolutley amazing if this story is as long as GTAIV itself.

Yet, PS3 owners will get DLC love. That was confirmed a long time ago. Sony always has the edge with Rockstar because of the history.
