This holiday season will be a real test to see which rationale turns out to be the most rational.

At least the "Wii Fit Plus/New Super Mario Bros. will sell tens of millions of Wiis!" declarations have been kept to a minimum.

I still see it as being about an even wash, with the Xbox potentially losing minimal market share to the PS3. Nintendo could potentially lose some market share to the PS3/360 combined, but if they drop to a more consumer friendly $199 price for the holidays, anybody's guess is as good as any other.

50% is a phsycological barrier, even if it gets there, no magical event will occur suddenly!

But more importantly, it wouldn't result in droves of top developers suddenly declaring they're putting their best development teams on Wii projects "cuz that's where the Benjis is at!"

I think that particular myth/pipe dream has already been put to bed and wouldn't happen even if the Wii miraculously rose to 60% market share.

I don't care if the Wii will reach 50% after all 48% is no little achievement... 48% is awesomely excellent...

Oh and I know its at 49% but I expect it to drop to 48.5% by december...
