i was wondering if anyone here is on thier second 360 purchase?

im not counting returns and exchanges, just actual second purchase.

me personally ive had a few exchanges from the origional core that i bought, then my core lasted me a good year. after that it rrod after 12 months warranty was over, i bought the new arcade a few months ago for £169.

if my second purchase fails after warranty is over, there is no way i will be buying another 360 console as that would be my 3rd purchase. and a complete rip off.

so if it evr happend to you, would you shel out for a 3rd purchase of your 360?

and a final ps. for those who have lost oddesey, ive rebought the game to complete 4rth dvd im on grand staff...as you know its a bit of a trek to get to the 7 sorceres boss, and during my trek the 360 says "unable to read disk, please make sure the game is clean or may be scratched" <---it was a msg similar to that. the 4rd dvd was still sealed in its envolope and is not blemished in any way............would that be a 360 reading problem then?

ive now installed the 4rd dvd instead and it works ok.

your 3 year warranty was over was it?

I bought a Pro in late 06, sold it in late 07 for an Elite, both worked fine. If my Elite broke down I would get M$ to fix it ... if it was out of warrenty (xmas 2010) I would buy a new one ... wouldn't bother me by then.

I purchased my console about a month after the 360 launched, and while it hasn't red ringed on me (oddly enough), the thing does seem to put out enough heat it my small room to heat the place up to about 80 degrees when playing over an extended period of time.Plus, the warranty for the thing will be up on January, so I'm thinking it might be time to get myself one of these Jaspers people keep going on about. If it means quieter fans and cooler temps in my room, I'll definetely purchase another one. Of course, when I'll get around to dropping another $200 on one I'm not sure, but I'm certainly considering it.

As for purchasing a 3rd console, I doubt I'll ever do that. It's too late in the 360's life cycle for me to purchase a 3rd one - if both my 1st and 2nd consoles die, I'll just set aside the money for the next Xbox.

I hope to never have a new 360...mine needs to last me this year at least

i'm on my second one. although i didn't have to pay a penny for a replacement. as long as that trend continues, i don't care.

I have had my orginal last two years then RROD and warrenty fixed it so Its almost three years old know so I am pretty happy, got a second one for my son and its still going. Not sure what I would due if it bricked probably get it fixed

If my 20 gig 360 died, could I transfer the hard drive to an arcade? I assume I can.
