But Final Fantasy has fallen greatly since Square-Soft became Square-Enix, but that's largely due to the fact that Final Fantasy 1-10 were made by Square, Final Fantasy X2-13 are basically made by Enix with a handful of Square employees. Crystal Chronicles actually has the benefit of the doubt being a fresh start though, its not really the trainwreck that the flagship FF franchise has become, though it is showing its own signs of worry. And isn't it ironic that Final Fantasy is the lesser of the two franchises in Japan yet its only Japan that gets the special editions of the Final Fantasy Games. This combined with the fact that Square-Enix couldn't be bothered to fully localize Dragon Quest 5 for the Ds in the West... We love you Square-Enix. Thanks for making the Western market the sole concern in your business decisions yet at the same time the market you always choose to screw over.

I´m looking more foward to Crystal Bearers because it reminds me of a Zelda game. A Zelda like game with more RPG elements would be awsome!!!

Uh...what? Enix doesn't have development studios, they outsource, and even then X-2, XI and XII were all in development before the merger and made by Square employees. If Enix were actively involved the games probably would have been better as evidenced by Dragon Quest and Star Ocean.

These claims that Enix "ruined things" are just getting more and more ridiculous.

This is great news because it seems as if SE overworked the game after they realised how successful the Wii is. At the beginning, FFCC:TCB was probably along the lines of the original FFCC, but the long delay shows that they have put more work behind it, probably with a better team. This is why I, and other people too probably, are expecting a lot from this game.

This being said, I'm anticipating DQX way more still.

CB has zero chance of being bigger than the next mainline DQ game, Japan and maybe even worldwide. But for me personally (and perhaps even a lot of the reactions on GAF), am just a lot more excited about hearing news on a game that I've been waiting two years for in January, than I am about a game that won't be out 'til 2010/2011.

Just to clarify, Im talking here on how big the fans react on the news and not how big the game was. Besides, like other members here said, Final fantasy was bigger in the west than Dragon Quest X. Just like Monster hunter 3, Dragon quest X was only for fans of the system saying " We have major franchise exclusives" in the end of the day its only big on Japan like MH 3.

Heres the order of titles that Wii gamers excited about:

1) Kingdom hearts 3
2) Final fantasy XIII
3) Any Final fantasy exclusive made by Squeenix
4) Dragon Quest X

------> yeah, KH3 was on top even DQX in Japan was almost the lifetime sales of the original Kingdom hearts

Well, I don't have a Wii, but if I had one, I'd certainly look with more expectations even a Chocobo game than a Dragon Quest game, so in my eyes FFTCB is way, way bigger than DQX. Of course, that may be 'cause I have convinced myself that DQ is a crappy series by only having played one game, so don't go by me to judge people reactions

No, no one's anticipating FF13 on the Wii more than DQ X considering that it doesn't exist.

Dragon Quest X wasn't for boasting, it was for Dragon Quest. It's a game, not a type of status, and it's not coming anytime soon, versus Crystal Bearers which people have been waiting for new info for over a year.
