I just find it more interesting that the pope thinks everyone would be gay if the stigmas against being gay were removed.

The two are somewhat exclusive; that is, upon conversion, when someone really decides to believe and submit to God (sorry, that probably sounded annoying (no sarcasm)), one would also decide to, er, stop being gay.  In other words, sinning after being saved does not automatically unsave a person; as long as that person is, at least, resisting or fighting against sinful urges, they're not considered, in this case, a homosexual.

That's not what that means, he is saying that disappearance of a small portion of something vital (forrests or breeding stock) could have a huge impact on the overall environment (whether global or social environment).

That doesn't make it less wrong but his logic is correct is you assume that Homosexuals are bad.

No, a frum (osbservant) Jew does not concern themselves with the actions of other people.  They are worried about their own direct family, and not what the goyim (non-Jews) do.

That's why you'll never see an Orthodox Jew try and convert someone... The "Old Testament" or Tanach as it's known in Hebrew is very specific that non-Jews don't have to convert to Judaism to be considered righteous before God... all a non-Jew is required to do is follow 7 rules to fall into the category of righteousness (in contrast to a Jew, who is expected to follow 613 laws).

But should a non-Jew decide to not be observant of those laws, you'll never see a Jew cry foul, because they know that it's none of their business.  That's between them and their maker....

They may not necessarily have their own unique meanings.

Appolase I think you miss my point. The bible does say gay people will not reach heaven. It also says idolaters and revelers won't, which includes pretty much all organized Christianity in one or both of those groups.

Really, it condemns everybody in one way or another. It was written to make us feel guilty and ask/tithe for forgiveness.

And if we want to break it down further, Christianity in its current form, ironically, actually is the definition of idolatry.

But moreover, the whole concept of "going to heaven" is tradition, and is not actually founded within the Bible.  The Catholic Church created the concept of "going to heaven" to give their minions something to fear.

From the beginnings of the Catholic Church, they decided to keep their people in line my screaming, "Heaven or Hell, golden streets or fiery damnation, it's your choice".

But, the Bible does not state that if you are "righteous" you will go to Heaven... that's something that the Catholic Church made up to keep their followers in line by promising an award that didn't exist.  There are rewards that even the New Testament speaks of, but even J.C. didn't promise that the righteous go to Heaven.  He stated that the righteous will have a place to come in the new world... the "New Earth" that J.C. promises to his followers.
