No, the wii is as powerful as the original XBOX

I'd say it is a tiny bit stronger (ala GC vs XB).

Wii hasn't showed us anything that really beats the late Xbox games, but the current Wii games beat the 2 years in XB games (graphical wise).

Do you see my point? 2nd year Wii graphics = 5th year XB graphics. So with time, Wii games will have a bigger improvement over the XB, as the developers get to know the HW better.

It doesnt matter what makes no sense to me is the following:

BOTH THE XBOX 360 AND PLAYSTATION 3 HAD a significantly better games lineup than the wii this year, yet it doesnt matter in any single way.

GAMES do not sell consoles anymore

but the name wii does

I have to agree, Wii had pretty much crappy titles in comparison to the PS3 and 360.

Wii is in it's own groups Casual.  PS3 and 360 are Hardcore persay.  Atleast that's how most people classify it.

 



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Japan is somewhere ~ 1/10 of the total. As it is incredibly anti-X360 biased, it means a lot more than those 10% would seem like it does.

If you were Swedish, I would give you a gleeful SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! But unfortunately you Norwegians are far too serious. The Swedish people are like the best scandinavians, the Norwegians are just wannabes.

But you see, I was talking home console market where Japan is weak relative to the rest of the world so their impact on that market isn't as much as their 10% would indicate.

You kind of miss it.

 

Games do no longer really sell (most of) the Wiis.

 

What the early games did, was make the Wii popular. Those games are the most important games in this entire generation.

 

The Wii is selling on its popularity, which it earned by Wii Sports/the other launch games/the remote. All Nintendo has to do is keep the popularity, and that doesn't take the same amount of games as turning popularity around takes.

 

Also, I'm not sure most Wii owners would agree the Ps3 has  a better line-up.

true, and yet it get's outsold by the wii, and it's sad cuz I just recently saw an advert with a wii and 2 games, one being wii sports was sold for like just under 400 aussie bucks, and a pro 360 with 2 games which also sold under 400 aussie bucks and in fact was slightly cheaper than the wii, and yet the wii is the one that sells out...it's not even a value factor anymore, the wii just sells regardlesly...and honestly speaking there is onely one thing that can make somehting sell regardless of value factor, functionality, or what ever, it's the FAD factor.

Here we go again!  PS2 did also take advantage of the FAD too in that case...
