Forums - Nintendo - Zelda: Valley of Flood == Perdido Street Station

Don't really know if that has been posted before, but that supposed picture showing the next Zelda Wii game has been proved to be a obviously fake. The image comes from a book called Perdido Street Station, here is the link:

Do you really thing that a Zelda game may be done without the character of Link on it?

Hmm... I've seen the picture with the title before, but not the rest. My guess is that someone found the first, and cobbled the rest together from random fantasy art from the net.

I'd love a Zelda like that, but it's probably not happening. Very impressive in any case.

The concept and art style are amazing: an industrial world where you have to travel by train, but I think that idea is closer to a Final Fantasy game than Zelda does. On the other hand, Nintendo said that the new Zelda will bring new ideas. Where do you think (stage) the world will take place?

I think the "new ideas" are going to take form more in terms of control and gameplay than setting.

One thing to remember is that Nintendo doesn't care about the mythology of its games the way many of the fans do. That's why there's no official Zelda timeline: Nintendo is more interested in fun game design than writing epic novels.

That's true. our mind always goes far beyond what Nintendo normally does related to mythology. In fact , I still keep thinking that the atmosphere of twilight princess was a exact copy of the one in ocarina of time and that the dark (twilight) world where you can walk as a wolf in the first half part of the game is unnecesary and has no connection with the second half part. The truth is that the dark world does not appear again in the game once you have the ability to transform into a wolf any time you want.

It certainly looked plausible, right up until the fact that it was revealed to be that station.

Though i hadn't heard of this, it would certainly be a step in a different direction, but i too assumed that Nintendo meant gameplay mechanics in terms of different direction

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

1 to 1 sword fighting combat using motion+ would be great! And it may be fantastic if we would have to use the motion of the wiimote to solve every puzzle in the game. Something new, please. When I played Twilight Princess I had the feeling of being playing the 'remake' of Ocarina of Time, and that's not good at all. I am not sure how far Mr. Aonuma is able to work to create something innovative...Miyamoto come back to The Legend of Zelda!
