Forums - Nintendo - Are announced games on the Wii so far can fill up the year 2009?

I like how somehow Q1 now equals the whole of 2009 according to the article title. Just how for some reason both Q1 and 2 were ignored entirely now that people look back at 2008 to call the line up poor.

And yeah where is Wii Sports Resort?

I didnt mentioed that, and if you've read my post you can see third parties releasing games on the Wii for the month of February and March alone. What more in Q2 and Q3.

Of course, theres no Wii Sports resort, thats Q2 and theres no press release about Q2 line up on the Wii.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Factor 5 was gone, not the developers in there. Also, if Kid Icarus really was in development there, it will be finished somewhere else.

so still believe that rumor? I think even theres Kid Icarus in development I doubt we will see that game in 2009 maybe in 2010.

And whats the appeal of Kid Icarus anyway? I've played it in emulator before, before theres no virtual console and I delete it afterwards. Its just an average platformer with ice climbers combined

I wasn't digging at you, but at the title of the article you linked to.... Which leaves out the bit about it only being 3 months of releases.

And I didn't know WSR was in Q2, I thought it was Q1 so I was wondering why Nintendo had left it out, and if this was the first news of it being pushed back... so either it was Q2 all along and I remember it incorrectly, or I missed the news of it being delayed.

Nintendo mentioned about WSR in April at E3, maybe it will be delayed in May but we dont know yet...

Yeah, the article is negative but I cant find other alternative links unless I link kotaku.

It looks like Nintendo will not release anymore first party games, they honestly dont need to. Maybe Wii Sports Resort can make it out in Q2 but it's doubtful considering how well the 08 titles are selling. Probably Wii Sports Resort and Punch Out are the holiday titles, maybe Mario Party 9 and some other GC remakes will fill up the releases for the first party games until Q4.

Between the Wiimakes and Sega's wares for Q1, The Conduit, possibly Punch-Out!!, and Wii Sports Resort for Q2, then move on to the lower-key Nintendo releases for summer (like Sin & Punishment 2 and Endless Ocean 2), and some heavy hitters for the holidays (the Factor 5 project, so long as it's Nintendo published, will continue, then the secret Retro Studios work, the Monster Games project, and Pikmin 3), it could be a year equal to the win of 2007, at least. Possibly better as the 3rd parties step it up. Monster Hunter 3, the many lesser (but still awesome) JRPGs, and more

It'll be a good year for most, but it won't dissuade the haters (though precious little could)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

If Punch out and S&P 2 will be released in Q4 of 2009 they shouldnt announced it earlier. They say that they'll not announced games many months before its released, they announced it in October, so they'll released it 14 months after it was announced? Thats not how Ninty works.
