Isn't it one of those games that get bundled with new PS3s? Just about everywhere I go the PS3 has this deal about getting 1-3 out of 1-3 different games along with it, and I could swear Heavenly Sword was one of them. Could just be a local thing of course.

On the other hand, it's also a good game in a genre that isn't all that well represented on the current gen consoles. Lots of people loved the God of War games in the PS2, but the only really similar game on the PS3 that I can think of is Devil May Cry 4.

This game is availible as Platinum in most of "others" and is selling more thanks to the holiday season and cheap price. I could not justify a full price 7 hr game, but at $39 AU dollar, it has reach the magically ka-ching number for me.

Thats just the way ps3 games are. They don't light the charts on fire but they sell consistently well for long periods of time

Well, other than bundles or price I can't think of any other. Not saying it's not a stupid reason anyway...
