When namco released time crisis 4 for the Ps3 it pretty much went no where, as soon as i saw the light-gun controller had 6 buttons, 2 thumbsticks and had a cord i decided not to buy it since i hate overly complex controls, and cables i was dissapointed about the low quality of the product.
But thanks to the Wii light gun gaming is more alive than ever and and personally i love these types of games there are heaps of titles which feature Wii Zapper support.
Link's Crossbow Training , The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return , The House of the Dead: Overkill , Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles , Nerf N-Strike , Target: Terror , Wild Gunman (2008), Wild West Guns , Ghost Squad , Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 , Call of Duty: World at War , Quantum of Solace
Wii has more games of this type than the PS2 accumulated over the entire life of the system !. The X360 has zero games of this type and the Ps3 has only 1 with a poorly designed and overly complex peripheral.
As the Wii Mote is a standard peripheral, publishers of light gun games have the perfect platform. Wii has the right hardware the most software and a huge install base so the other platforms including even the PC can't even come close to the Wii in this respect.
Most PS360 games are just badly implemented ports of PC FPS games with lower resolution and lower frame rates and and worse still players are forced to use thumbsticks to try to do something which a mouse is far better suited to. Basically i think If you want the ultimate gaming setup and can afford it a PC and a Wii complement each other perfectly.
It's funny that HD console owners may wonder how the Wii is able to totally dominate it's competitors well it's variety of games and the interface is outstanding, it does things so much better while The PS360 HD consoles are simply a sub-par excuse for a PC for those that cant afford one.
PS3 number 1 fan
