this is the best survival horror title this year without question. the controls were rock solid,the graphics also were very good,the lighting effects,sound effects,the weapons and how u went about upgrading them all were done very well. the story i also liked very much, the ending which i wont say was also very cool. i cant wait for the eventually sequel, which i hope is in 2010. overall i would give this game a 9.5/10 

I agree! It's sooo good, it's my third best game this generation (after MGS4 and Mass Effect). ^^

Dead Space is a good game and deserves high marks. i also liked how the character felt like he had some weight to him vs the kind of floating feeling.

i put over 16hrs into this game, that's the longest for me in a survival horror title since silent hill 2. silent hill 2 for me is still the best survival game i have ever played, dead space now is solidly in the 2 spot.

@seraphic_sixaxis , thanks. i plan on getting resident evil 5 on launch day, but i think how much i really like it and how much time i end up putting into it will depend on who i can find who will play this game with me in co-op mode.

I am glad you experienced this game. It is a superb game.

i think the only thing i would change for the sequel is that they dont put the weapons on the d-pad and instead assign them to a single button and allow u to have access to them all instead of only 4 at a time, with the other weapons being put into the safe.

How much competition does it have???? Alone in the Dark??? 'O_O

Guess it just boils down to whether you like Siren or Dead Space more.
