So far Obama is doing very well, and I am surprised.

In another news:  Obama settled on California Rep. Hilda Solis for labor secretary and former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk for U.S. trade representative, officials said Thursday. He was ready to introduce Republican Rep. Ray LaHood of Illinois as transportation secretary at a news conference Friday afternoon, although it wasn't clear who else might join him at the podium.

I'm sure many left leaning liberals are upset about his choices. 

Rick Warren is a conservative Christian preacher from Saddleback and he opposes abortion and gay rights.

Obama may be upsetting some liberals, but he is delivering on his promise to bridge partisan divides. I wait with bated breath to see if this is how he governs.

Hm... I remember Rick Warren being a huge dick.

Guess this is his way of saying "Look i'm really not a secret Muslim!"

Ah right, he's that guy who hosted the semi-debate and was for Prop 8.

Jeez.  Obama is really rubbing salt into the wounds of the gay community with that one.

It's bad enough that his getting elected is what made the difference in the prop 8 vote.

Obama knows what he is doing. Sometimes you just have to say "Fuck you" to your own party since your party is generally full of crazy people to begin with.

Though I wish the entire country wasn't so recalcitrant on gay rights issues...
