Alright we all know that this year was suppose to be "The year of the PS3". But, Microsoft pull an awesome marketing ploy that some people didn't expect... right. The Wii ran all the way to the bank with new customers from every demographic. Here is the thoughts on '09. Please remember just thoughts just like imagination land.
The Wii - Announce this year instead of a whole new system they add an upgrade that connects to you wii to do high deff gaming. Thus entering it to the HD Level. They will jump to blu ray too because they can do what ever they want. plus blu ray players will be cheap by summer. This will bring hardcore gamers to the table.
The 360 - Brings the heat in gaming. After a year of losing game scores to the PS3 and seeing the Wii hardware no insight decides to announce a 1 game a month promising that it will be almost a perfect score every time. Right when the ps3 thinks it is getting somewhere with gaming this summer because "i will tell you in the ps3 section" Xbox promise their new system 720 is out by march 1st 2010. Along with it the announcement of halo 4 catching everyone!
The PS3 - Releasing amazing games this summer plus a dramatic price cut at the end of march dominates for the beginning of summer. Until E3 comes along where they announce you can send in your ps3 to have a new hardware installed for $250 to make it the PS4 because they want to keep the blu ray player alive. The ps4 is announced for 2011. They also announce motion controllers in a new design where it can be set to be a normal controller or motion.
One final though...... Wii decides they want to go HD they buy out sony's playstation rights....
