Maybe they have started to do there what has started here in England in that the PS3 numbers requested from stores has become a lot less. In Game in Oxford street the guy told me they have been told to move the PS3 sections to just a tiny corner and cut back on PS3 hardware/software as for the majority of it doesn't move. So if they for example used to order say 100 a week they could now be just ordering say 50 a week.
As others have mentioned goodluck getting a 360 here in UK now. Stores such as Zavvi used a fake campaign saying they had £99 360's in stock just to get people to vist the store, when you get there, all gone magically ;)

How am I sure your not just making this up, look at your sig it has PS3 hate all over it (LBP is going to pass 1.5million easily by the way).

I asked, they were out of the PS3.

They had all 3 360 skus nice and neat in the glass.

I never implied this was a nationwide thing to whoever accused me of that, I said I was suprised at what all saw.

(360 fanboys sure hold grudges, I have never even seen that guy before and he comes out of the woodwork to imply I am a hypocrite... lol)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

When you start a thread like this people are going to assume you assume this is a nationwide trend. You have enough posts to know that.

Just saying, no beef here.

Very interesting then. The only time I've seen the PS3 sold out was when they switched to the non-backwards compatible 40GB and they hadn't really hit store shelves yet.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I noticed that the PS3 sections have been shrinking aswell...bad times...

Your area seems really different from mine. Every system seems to be in stock with plenty of each console left at most every store. I guess everybody in my town is buying stuff from the Home Depot for Christmas.

My store (not WalMart but still retail) was sold out of Wiis but we had 360 and PS3 in stock. They we're both selling but the PS3 was outdoing it at an 60-40 ratio. Very close.

my best buy was stocked up on everything(except wiis).Literally,around 30 ps3's stacked up on each other.Arcade's and pro 360's also stacked on there own.
ps3's have been moving though.i was there for a long time(christmas shopping at the mall)and from what i saw,everything was selling.
