I watched Starship Troopers 3 yesterday and found it to be a dam good film. Now its not as good as the first film and suffers from a limited filming schedule and chronic lack of budget. It is however a big improvement over the second film. The special effects are quite decent and the humour and satire that defined the original film are back. The acting and writing is a case of good enough for the job if unspectacular. I would say that overall it is 6/10 (I would have given ST2 4/10 and the first film 8/10 for comparison). Having J Rico return (played by Casper Van Dien) was a smart move as he lend the film credibilty and action. Its an enjoyable film that is worth a rental at least and I would say a full purchase. So thats my short review and here is a taster of the film.

Ugh, that movie was beyond terrible. I struggled to finish it but the song was surprisingly catchy.

And you do have to laugh at the completely random nudity. Lets have the actors stand nude for five minutes, that will keep people watching!

My brother has the DVD, from the cover alone I refuse to watch it. It looks so cheap and tacky.

I watched the first 5 minutes online, then tragically, my download stopped. Sadly i have never felt the urge to get back to that download....
