Take your own advice. That game IS CRAP. The game has so many technical problems, it's barely playable for 10 minutes. The game has constant balancing issues, and by far the worst audio for any RPG out now. People who think that TLR was good are completely biased. |
So your attacking the 1,000+ post thread at NeoGAF that is praising the game, with many users playing it non stop?
What about myself and Louie - who are both reviewing TLR and planning on giving it good scores?
TLR has technical problems...But most JRPGs this generation have. Aside from that, it's a fantastic game. How much of it did you play before saying it's crap?

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
I hope Famitsu is horribly wrong. I despise the D-pad so much on my X360... I do not want to play RPGs on it any longer. Wierd gripe, I know, but man.. I can't stand it. I'm holding out for PS3 TLR for that reason. (I still have to finish .hack and some good PS1 classics, so I can hold out... for now ;) ).
I'm crossing my fingers with WKC... but I'm worried now that there's a RPG tragedy in the making.
Crazzy - If the technical presentation of TLR is better on a PS3, then sure.
The Last Remnant is one of the most innovative tactical/strategy RPGs I've played in AGES. It innovates in so many areas, and does away with tons of the status quo that SE has given us..So if another version (or a patch of the X360 version) made the technical issues (most people's qualms with the game), then it should be scored higher. Just like the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata getting a slightly higher score because it added a little bit to the otherwise pitiful story.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

...c'mon... we all know that won't happen.
Famitsu may have cost scej big this holiday with that...

Anyway, giving good scores to BETA versions of games is a BAD thing. =)
Game must have NOT technical issues. What is with today`s standarts...

Can I join; I won't give it any higher than a 5 (and that's being generous), don't know if that's an issue...
I really don't have a clue how you can excuse its technical performance with "but most JRPGs have it". It's a fucking shame that every single JRPG I've played on my 360 has horrendous technical issues. 10 SECONDS (!!!) at the very least to enter a new area. Levels that build up in front of your eyes, slideshow framerates. And that's WITH HDD INSTALL. I could barely live with it in Lost Oddyssey because that was a good game, but TLR is such an absolute technical nightmare.
I really need someone to explain to me why a fucking RPG has such technical issues and why I have to pay €60 for it. It's not that anything actually happens on screen.
Edit: /rant. Sorry, but I'm just very dissapointed in the technical performances of some 360 games. I don't have a single Wii game with issues, so it should be possible to have a solid performance on 360.

Nah... I wouldn't think so. When buying games, most people go beyond just "score X".
I read my reviews to get a general idea of what the game offers. They might do the same.
The main beef with WKC seemed to be the online... otherwise, great singleplayer experience...
It'll sell well, no worries about that.
