Something tells me that it wouldn't have scored 11 points higher if it would have included voice chat. But just keep telling yourself that. Really, if Famitsu is giving a hyped high profile RPG a 29/40 something's wrong with it other than the lack of voice chat.

And I don't see what's the problem either. If anyone expected this to be a million seller, let alone sell PS3's he's not been paying attention on the sales of RPGs in general this gen. And I'm sure that fans of the genre can enjoy this game, no matter what the Famitsu score is.

 

 Was I expecting a 40/40.... no I wasn't but voice chat is their major gripe. And the score based off full points so if they were leaning to the higher number and then communicating sucked ass I'm sure WKC lost 4 points due to it. Im pretty sure each reviewer marked it lower (and remember lower doesn't mean .1 in our type of reviews it means 1) because ALL of them mention how communicating is problematic.

Then they said simplistic combat... uhhhm? Cuz based on the battle scenes shown, it ain't really that simple like "insert highly rated HD-gen RPG here"

Level 5 and Sony have time to incorporate voice chat until the western release. Auto-battle and auto-run, lol, I want to play the game not watch it, stupid famitsu. Auto-running would only help because there´s no voice-chat so far.

 

 Yeah I didn't quite understand that (especially the red) but I didn't want to comment on it... maybe there was something I was missing.

Yesterday I see people using Amazon in a thread to undermine LittleBigPlanet UK sales numbers.

Today I see people saying Famitsu is a credible source.

What comes tomorrow?

Anything to downgrade potential PS3 success.

Famitsu suddenly is the biggest review site evar, and I seemed to have missed it.  Famitsu's reviews have been shit forever, but as soon as a PS3 game gets a low score, suddenly they're not.

I can't believe how many people take Famitsu serious....We just TLR who was praised by Famitsu and was called a disaster of an JRPG by Western Reviewers.

Guys, uuurrgh... sjeesus, that's not the thing! The thing is that Famitsu normally scores all RPG's a way "lot" higher than in the West. They lose credibility due to their outstanding high scores. If Famitsu is already coming with a smack in the face of WKC, how far will it get around here? "That's" the point, at least mine is. I've never seen Famitsu RPG scores to be lower than those in the West, have you? If so... let me know.

Exactly.

There are plenty more reviews that they give good scores to that people hate.

Famitsu gave Final Fantasy XII a 40/40 and everyone talks about how that is their least favorite FF game.  (I like it though).

Somehow we forget about these things.
