Forums - Gaming - Famitsu White Knight Chronicle score (29/40)

wouldn't that make it 73% good?

assumption is the mother of all f**k ups

Worse than Dark Cloud, debut on the PlayStation 2, keep that in mind. Dark Cloud got 8/8/8/7 scores from Famitsu, so in general, this is the worst Level 5 reviewed game ever by Famitsu.

well people are basing the game off other reviews and famitsu has a tendency of being generous of bigger games. So if this game got lower score and a bigger game everyone is assuming it sucks balls.

Famitsu scores on hype and this game doesn' have as much as a SE game like TLR... Look how wrong they were about that technical mess.

@ Fernando

Fail.

It's not a shocker really. Usually when a company keeps a game so secret so close to release, something isn't right. Square did the same thing with the three 360 RPG's

did you even read the review? the thing wrong with it was that it doesn't have voice chat online.

wow that's bad, but it's famitsu so ... I'll wait for other reviews, even if I never expected a AAA title.

Something tells me that it wouldn't have scored 11 points higher if it would have included voice chat. But just keep telling yourself that. Really, if Famitsu is giving a hyped high profile RPG a 29/40 something's wrong with it other than the lack of voice chat.

And I don't see what's the problem either. If anyone expected this to be a million seller, let alone sell PS3's he's not been paying attention on the sales of RPGs in general this gen. And I'm sure that fans of the genre can enjoy this game, no matter what the Famitsu score is.

I wasn´t expecting the game to be awesome, but boy the famitsu score is disappointing. I don´t trust them much, considering the scores they give. Level 5 and Sony have time to incorporate voice chat until the western release. Auto-battle and auto-run, lol, I want to play the game not watch it, stupid famitsu. Auto-running would only help because there´s no voice-chat so far.

People are over reacting... the score isn't bad... not great but it doesn't mean it sucks

You don't get it, this game was supposed to be the very first real epic, exclusive RPG for on the PS3. Valkyria Chronicles is so far still the "best" out there on the PS3 only sells the worst, since no one cares about Strategy.

just because it isn't getting all 9s and 10s doesn't mean it isn't epic... that's foolish.... ToV didn't get those scores and it was epic enough for most everyone who loves Tales games and JRPGs.  As for PS3's first epic RPG you may have to wait and prey that EA puts Mass Effect 2 on the system... it's a far better game anyway
