Sony Has PSP-4000 And PSP2 In The Works? Games Already Being Developed?
Remember last week when a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) exec claimed that the company didn't (yet) have plans for a PlayStation Portable successor? Eurogamer claims that a publisher told them that this isn't the case. In addition to a PSP2, Sony has plans for another incremental upgrade to its handheld gaming system. It also appears that developers are already working on games for the PSP sequel!
"Sony plans to refresh the PlayStation Portable product line with a PSP-4000 model in late 2009 and launch a true successor -- a PSP2, if you like -- later. Even fewer details were available on the PSP successor, but we're told that developers are already working on games."

Yeah, I wasn't buying SCEE president David Reeves' line of, "there are currently no plans for a PSP2." Evidence of this can be found when I said, "I don't believe for a second that Sony doesn't have plans for a PSP2." (Sorry, I just thought it would be funny to quote myself. *snicker*) Even if the system won't be available until 2010 or 2011, people have to be working on the hardware -- it's not like a stork drops off new pieces of consumer electronics for companies to mass produce.
As for the PSP-4000, what incremental upgrade(s) do you think it will have? What upgrades would you want it to have?
This Is Not the New PSP there is a picture of it @www.g4tv.com
