Perhaps I am the weird one here, but a little while ago I got a thought.

Actually, this was because of all the videos released of Killzone 2 on gamersyde, showcasing a hell of a lot of the preview code. And I thought to myself "Holy crap, that is a lot of footage! I don't think I want to watch all that, I'll just spoil the game for myself". So I only watched three of the videos... But I also decided not to read any previews, because there was simply too much information I didn't want to know.

Then comes about God of War III and Uncharted 2. And after watching the initial trailers, I was struck by the aforementioned thought. "What if I completely stop reading and watching anything new about these games, and get suprised by them."

Then I watched some screenshots from Heavy Rain, where there was a chubby version of a guy, and then the same guy in an ultra slim version, and knowing how much emphasis there is on story in this game, I thought "FUCK! SPOILER!"

After that I decided that I will do just what the thought told me to, to as great an extend as I possibly can. This only goes for games where I am certain I will get my money's worth when I buy them of course. But I don't want to see screenshots of a jungle-level from Killzone 2. I want to be caught off guard by that sort of thing. I don't want to read about events in God of War III, I want to be surprised by that sort of thing. And I certainly don't want to see what the final builds of any of these aforementioned games look like, before I have them in my hands.

So, am I just being silly here, or am I on to something?
