Many threads about this were made before, and I'd usually defend it for having a great chance, but...

If the PS3 continues to sell like it is now, don't expect it to. It needs a decent install base for it to manage - 45mil lifetime would make it doable, more to be safe. It's definitely not impossible, though, and if it's as big of a hit as the third game, it should have no problems.

considering prologue sold close to 2.5 mil....gt5 probably will reach 10 mill in its lifetime...full version will definitely sell more than the demo...it'll take a while though...but the next GT that comes out...i dont think it'll reach 10 mill...if u look at the history with GT...it's always the first one of the series on that platform...that it sells well...then the 2nd one for the same platform doesn't as sell well...but it does sell pretty damn good still....

it will sell 10+million, but a lot of its sales won't be tracked cause vgchartz doesn't track PSN sales, when the full game is released i expect you have to pay $20 if you have the prologue to upgrade it to the full game since its $40 for the prolouge

the GT5 prologue got me into gran turismo, and i will reserve and buy this game when the opportunity rises

rofl.....$20 upgrade...that's the funniest thing i've heard...i bought the blu-ray version of the gt prologue myself...and i'm not expecting an upgrade of any sort like that...even if i dl-ed from psn....i'll be expecting to pay full price for the full game once it comes out...i dont think anyone who bought gt4 prologue got any discount for gt4...

No. I see it selling between 7-9 million.

GTAIV is at 5 million and GT on average sold a little more than GTA on the PS2. If it releases end PS3 2009 userbase should be little under 30 million and I think a 30% attach rate is too much for a racing sim.

I don't think it will. Maybe 8 million, remember the PS3 will have maybe a 22M install base when the game is released, the PS2 had that multiplied.
