 GT had high numbers in the past because of active installed base that plays games and appreciates a fine racer like GT. The PS3 has one of the shittiest installed bases i've ever seen in terms of actual gaming activity. It had to lower my numbers from what I had once thought before.

damn....GTAIV is at 5 million with 19million ps3s out there.....

NOTE: GTAIV has been out for about 8 months

ummm....by next 2 years(late 2010) the game should be well above 10million

 

well my point is GRAN TURISMO 5 is capable of selling like this....just GT5 will have a better shot at selling higher due to an increased install base of the PS3 by the time it(GT5) is released

 I understand your logic, but I don't believe it will play out that way because active installed base of the PS3 as i've said is less than 1/4 of those who actually own the system. There are more people buying Blu Ray movies for it than games.

GT5 will sell 10 million, question is if it will have to be bundled or not to do that. A £200 PS3 = 10 million GT5 sales without bundles.
