wii was my 1st and most beloved of my consoles....

...i bought a 360 and a ps3. i really like my ps3 but regret wasting my money on a 360. i'd sell the 360 except MS has devalued it soo much this last year it's hardly worth the effort of selling it.

wii was my second console. the first was the ps3 and obviously the third was the 360.

i'd still go in the same order if i had to do it again.

That's actually somewhat of a tough choice.

PS3 has some games that I'd definitely like to try out - ie. MGS4 and the JRPG:s. The BluRay-player would be nice, but I wouldn't really use it since I rarely watch movies anyway. And the PS3, while the more reliable of the two, is still the most expensive console choice, and has no BC whatsoever, which, for a gaming enthusiast like me, is quite a big deal. I don't need a Gamecube if I have a Wii, why should I need a PS2 if I have a PS3?

X360 costs much less, and it also has several games I'd like. But then again, several of 360's heavy hitters have turned up as PC versions, and more will do so in the future (ie. Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, GTA4, eventually Fable 2 and Halo 3). The 360 has BC, but can't really make use of it because of Xboxs game library. It also has Live, but I probably wouldn't use it too much besides downloading games (I don't usually play my games online).

If I had to choose, I'd probably pick the 360. But it would be a close call.

It'd be a 360... cheaper and I know more people who own them (aka, a larger library of games I could borrow)

No real reason for choose PS3

I made the decision to buy a PS3.  Reason?.....games like LBP and the fact that it's blu-ray.  It was more expensive, but when you add the xtras together, the 360 doesn't look as inexpensive.

If the price was the same for both, and I had an HDTV, I'd definitely get a Playstation 3. Mainly because of Blu-Ray, though. I'm not really interested in any HD exclusive games, which is why I'm happy with my Wii.

But Blu-Ray is enticing.

I faced this choice almost a year ago and went for PS3. At the time PS3 had two major exclusives - Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear 4, plus I wanted a Blu-ray player. Had I known FFXIII was going to XB360 the choice would've been a lot harder because I also want Tales of Vesperia.

360 cause the only PS3 game i wanted to play, MGS4, I already played on my roomies PS3.

The Xbox360 since it has a lot of games I want and the only "Gotta Have" game I want on the PS3 is Valkyria Chronicles. Everything else doesn't really interest me or is already available on 360 or is being released on said console that was meant to be PS3 exclusive.

If I learned there was a Legend of Dragoon 2 in development exclusively for the PS3 though, I'd buy one today without hesitation.

If I had to, I would buy an Xbox360.
