Forums - Sales - So just how big is Final Fantasy Dissidia going to be?

@Gilgamesh: This game is a must-have for every FF7 fan and every other FF fan and also let us not forget, there are at least 4 million more PSP consoles sold then with the release of Crisis Core ^^

@Fernando: It's Final Fantasy... I'm sure it will destroy the Tales sales. :D

And for everyone who is interested, Dissidia was the only PSP game that appeared in Famitsu Most Wanted two weeks back ^^

Don't get me wrong, I really hope I'm wong with that prediction, there's nothing I'd like to see do good then a Final Fantasy game (for a Sony console of course) lol

I'm just being very conservative with my perdiction, I'll bump it up to 200K sinse I guess 100k seems a little to low.

Well I'll say 350k and 100k PSP sales first week, and it will probably even more ^^

I mean it's Final Fantasy :P

80k First day, 150k first week, LTD 420k.

That's not much.. honestly I would be ashamed in the place of the Japanese if Dissidia sells worse than that Gundam game :)

So I just saw Crisis Core opened with sales of almost 500k! My predictions for Dissidia sudenly raised with it, I am saying 450k now at least ^^

Was I one of the few people that at some point was not that pumped for Dissidia as much as I was for Crisis Core? The closer it comes to launching I find myself wanting it more though, especially with so few games that I want for PSP coming up. I think that alone will help is out and see it selling more than Crisis Core first week so thats at least 500k in japan. :) I can't wait to see little Shantotto in battle

“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life." - author unknown

I'd place it at about Crisis Cores level.

Maybe a bit more since it will bring in some of the oldschool fans.

Im hoping big giving PsP the boost that it needs.

Well PSP software sells all right in Japan, one of the biggest problems of that console is lack of games so when a title like that shows up it should do some good numbers in Japan.

In America and Europe problem is that game is pirated, but it will still generate some decent sales.

In my opinion Dissidia has potential to be huge and i think it will sell at least milion copies Ltd.

I am not sure. is the game generating hype in japan
