Forums - PC Discussion - Can someone help me remove this trojan virus form my PC?!?!? Please! :(

The point of the virus is to tell you that you need anti-virus software in hopes that you actually go through all the steps and pay for it, then they get your money and you get nothing in return.

It will give you the .dll file of course, but your virus software does not have a details screen that gives the true name of the trojan that the file is infected with?

u know the location for the trojan , just restart ur computer and run it on safe mode , go to the location and delete it ur self , wouldn't that work?

Soriku, hijackthis is useful but it won't do the job by itself. Download these programs and run them in safe mode, they removed about 95% of malware and trojans:

Then post hijackthis log so we can get anything else removed.

He probably will need smitfraudfix but I think he will need a tutorial to go along with it, as well as another PC so he can read the instructions.

Soriku, does your software let you click the trojan name and have it direct you to the softwares homepage? That will usually give all the info I would need to find a work around. Although if it is anything like what I had, you may need a full restore.

Tutorial for the one I had was around 25-30 steps and required 2-3 different programs.

try using avast. It helped me, I don't know about you though.

Did it come from this site? You might have gotten it from vgchartz. I detected 8 trojans in the past week.

^ If VGChartz gave out viruses similar to ZLob we would have a serious issue here.

Those things reproduce faster than bunnies.
