lol, I know not everyone "loves" you but hell you keep me entertained in these forums. Plus I do feel there is a slight PS3 bias in this thread however there has been at least 20 X360 bias threads over the past month so its quite welcoming.

Game development is incredibly complex -- that's the beauty of flexible computer architectures, after all -- there are always new, cool, different ways to do stuff. The X360 has been out longer than the PS3, and its easier for devs to grasp the fundamentals of, yes. That kinda implies that the titles we've seen on it are "closer" to what users might percieve as the "best looking" games on the system 5-10 years from now (than the PS3), but saying the X360 is "maxed" is just plain silly. Every good looking game you can point out is merely one mountain peak in an entire mountain range of game styles, techniques, etc. Both systems have a lot of room for improvement, I'm sure.

I agree... I believe the 360 is further along the path of diminishing returns when it comes to significant improvement. The PS3 has a lot of power under the hood... I'm anxious to see what a dev with an open checkbook and a lot of time and experience on the platform might do with it.

Xbox 360 peak last year remember with Halo3 !! and is on a downhill slope according to many PS3 fanboys (OP included)
This is the year of the PS3 but it got slightly delay because of well let blame the recession. So yes, Bush is to blame.
Next year is again year of the PS3 with all the games OP cite to be leap and bound above anything 360 could offer (since in theory it's max out last year when it blow its load with Halo 3 and price cut).
*sigh* we are not tired of this yet.
I'm sure it hasn't reached its absolute peak yet. That said I don't expect any 360 game to come anywhere near looking as good as Gears 3 will on the next Microsoft console Christmas 2010.

Yesterdays VGA's proved that MGS4 is considered the best looking console game of the year (and thus all time) even after 6 months of it's release. The fact that high budget, recent xbox360 titles have STILL not been able to compete with MGS4 (or arguably the one year old Uncharted) and even better looking PS3 games are to be expected in 2009, I think the 360 has all but loist the graphics wars. PS3 visuals are noticeably better than xbox ones.

Could be. I hope that fact helps Sony deal with the mental strain that must come from being beaten by 200,000 + units a week in Europe and that number again in America since Halloween.

In a recession with double the price that is to be expected. Within a years time, when exchange rates go down, the price goes down and the economy starts picking up the ps3 will begin massacering the xbox again. Hell, the ps3 launched 1 and a half years after the 360 and Europe and had already passed 360 LTD sales there. A few months dip is not going to change the fact that the ps3 is in overwhelming command of the global market outside the USA.
theres always ways to make things look better. But i will say that we are prolly seeing 90% right now. And i believe that Killzone 2 will be the max of what the PS3 can do. This is because developers have it easy with the 360 but with the PS3 developers have to put alot more time and effort to make the game look better and not many developers are going to really push the PS3
