Simple question once again =p. I just wanna have your opinion about that, when you hear the word "europe", what comes to your mind? I'm not talking about europe as a video game market, but europe as a whole. Of course, I'm looking for non-european answers, even if european guys can answer.

A lot comes to mind. A lot. The Roman Empire, I suppose? It has a very long history...

It is a Bastian of beauty and culture (music, art, architecture), with mostly progressive political leanings. It is also a place where people seem to truly be free (by that I mean free from the judgmental eye of their neighbors). North America could do well to take more lessons from modern Europe.

^ agreed, America could learn a lot from Europe as far as progressive thinking is concerned.

I'm half German, my grandparent emmigrated from there and my wifes fathers family is French, so I guess the first thing I think of is, glad you left Europe and came over here, otherwise I wouldn't have met my wife.

I think of progressive politics, the renaissance and the metric system.

I'm Dutch so I'm hardly qualified to give an outside-in look. But when I think of my fellow Europeans it's mostly about a lot of quarreling before any concensus is reached.

Still, this concensus is quite important in such a diverse society. Highwaystar noted that America should look at the more progressive side of Europe to learn something.
I'm kinda hoping that with the problems America is facing now, that they rather learn from us to reach concensus amongst the different political groups.
