@robotechheaven,from the 1st of jan 09 all ps3 game must have trophy support

@mjk45 , your sorta correct. sony said that all games that are sent to them for approval as of jan1st, 09. must have trophy support, but any game sent to them before jan 1st doesnt have to have trophy's in them. also for me the dlc is better for 360 games, perfect example is fallout 3( 3 new expanisons for each of the 3 months coming, starting with this month and ending in march), only on 360. i get sony's 1st party games on the ps3, but i like xbl better than psn.

The story all the way, if a RPG doesn't have a good story then i can't really get into it. Also the battle system plays a great role on it too.

Definately a story, i dont care for graphics i dont care much for battle systems (even horrible fighting system in Gothic did not stop me, but it was close) if the story is good. Thats why games like Planescape Torment have been my favourites for years.

the gameplay and then the story, who the hell i'm suppose to enjoy a good story if i'm being tortured by a horrible gameplay

have any of you done what i used to do, not much now but a lot early days playing rpgs i used to get a lined note book and in the left side margin i would put the characters name and underneath and down the page,i would put the games relevant stats IE:hp,mp ,str ,dex, etc, and then make columns across the page, with the characters level being put at the top of each column and do this for all the party members to chart there progress

@mjk45, i did that till final fantasy 7 came out. i also use to make up my own strategy guides and would give them to my friends after i throughly beat a rpg game, the guide books took some time, but the apprecaition i got from my friends made it all worth the while.

Story and battle system...
Graphics might as well be on SNES levels and that's enough for me.

ah, and sound has some importance, but not as important as battle system and story.
