Mass effect is not an rpg

My favs:

FF series
Illusion series
BOF series
Ogre series
Mana series
Star ocean series
Chrono series
Suikoden series
Xeno.. series

By that definition, neither is any of the games you posted, since true RPGs can't be captured proficiently on computorized games  

I have nothing against those games, and some of them are amongst my favourites of all time (FFVI, FFXII, Terranigma, BOFII, Seiken Densetsu III, Chrono Trigger, etc.), but it's belitting to not call ME a RPG just because it doesn't fit your personal mold of what a RPG should and shouldn't be. 

Mass effect is closer to be a 3rd person shooter than a rpg

It's still a RPG. 

A RPG is not measured by stats, turn based mechanics, inventory, levels and combat screens alone. It's about choices and guiding your own character during it's own evolution. 

For example, take the Baldur's Gate games. It's combat mechanics most resembled a strategy game than your typical RPG mechanics, still, it's considered to be one of the purer computorized RPGs ever created. Why? Because you can shape it's history, your character, the interactions and the way it all unfolds in the end. In that aspect, the ME games are closer to Baldur's Gate than, let's say, a FF game or Chrono Trigger. 

You're judging the ME series based on it's combat mechanic alone, when there's much more than that. Have you tried playing ME2 on Insanity difficulty as an Adept Class? There's little shooting going on there and much more power using and strategic deployment of your supporting characters and their own abilities. Thus you can tailor your experience in various shapes.

@mjk45, yes it died when i was playing monster hunter portable 3 hd version, i had about 100hrs into it too.
just playing my psvita, while i am developing my company's games. i am so impressed with the psvita , that we are gonna make 2 additional psvita games now. that puts the game creation count at 7 games. hoping to now release 2 psvita games this year, and the others between march 2013 and june 2014.
i am also gonna create a mmorpg for the psvita as well, its something that i am so excited about.

really enjoying Mass Effect 3! i also downloaded the IOS game Mass Effect:infiltrator, has anybody else done this? i was just wondering how you upload your Mass Effect:infiltrator intel and completion to gain a asset for mass effect 3?

I ,don't know how you do it I can't think of any independent studios doing so much even valve have no more than a couple of games going at once and even if some of your seven are only in the planning stage it's one hell of a pipeline.
