@stokedup, i did at times. but i grinded alot to get rid of that problem, it seemed to me that the game goes all over in its difficulty . sometimes a area before , like u said were easy or u didnt have any issues. then the next area and its a pain in the butt. like i said i just grinded alot more than usual in a type of game like this , which is something u shouldnt have too do. sorry i couldnt go into more detail for u, but i have to go. my kids are crying. take care

Finally, after a full goddamn week trying to destroy that Mysterious Figure, I did it today on my first try....while waiting for an online PES 2011 match to start >_>

I was going insane on this guy and I still have a very sore thumb because of him >_<

For any of you who's wondering if MF can be really that hard, here's a video of a typical fight with him (I beat him at Level 48, Critical Mode with Aqua):



Btw his stats are: (Attack and Magic = Infinite since every hit is OHKO if you don't have Once More or Second Chance, even at 99 defense; Defense = 40).

That guy got a bit lucky, in my fight he did the clone attack, while invisible and surrounded by those light orbs >_>

But that fight did leave me with tons of questions. Going from KH lore, that mysterious figure has the ability to manipulate time (and there was one Nobody from Organization XIII that had a similar power). 

It could be that the mysterious figure is actually the fully powered (complete) person of someone from Organization XIII (since destroying a Nobody and it's respective heartless means that the Person would become whole again).
That leads to a big issue though, since in neither KH game nor spin-off, the Heartless counterparts from Organization XIII members are shown, except from Xehanort's Heartless in KH1 (who went by the name of Ansem). 

And to think we will have to wait a couple of years to get these questions answered >_>

I beat dragon quest V ds last amamaamamamamamamazing

and now I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2. For whatever reason, I didn't really enjoy KH1. but I'm enjoying KH2 a lot thus far.!

And don't beat games all the way, especially on my first play through, if I like the game enough sometimes I'll do the esxta stuff on later paythroughs like lestatdark... The only ones I've beaten Was FFXIII (though not all achievements), FFVIII, FFV, FFX-2 Fallout 3, Kotor II and. The NA version of FFX (Much easier than PAL or international)

I'm going to get Fallout New Vegas After I beat this :P

He doesn't have a very exuberant introduction. Terra/Ven/Aqua appear on The Land of Departure and while they're walking in the summit, the Mysterious Figure just appears and challenges him/her without saying a word.

And when he loses, he just phases out of existence, like he's moving into another place in time. 

This fight is all too similar to the fight in KH:FM, where Sora faces an Unknown hooded character who also doesn't say a word when he appears/disappears, which was later revealed to be Xenmas, in KH2.

So probably, KH:BBS's Mysterious Figure also has a rather large importance to KH lore in future games.

I'm playing KH2 as well (although the Final Mix version on my emulator). I like the battle system of KH2 a lot more than in KH1, but story-wise I always felt that KH1 did a better job than KH1.

Though KH:BBS explains thing better than both games combined XD

he certainly lives up to his  name
