@ssenkahdavic, u didnt like tales of vesperia ? its the best console tales game i think.

I disagree. I didn't quite enjoy Vesperia, true, but no Tales game has managed to reach the scope and epicness of Tales of Phantasia to me

And Dhaos is one of the best video game villains ever created. I felt terrible after killing him in the final battle

Tales of Phantasia does = Epicness.

And do tell why you dislike Abyss.  My roommate at the time HATED the game.  Ooo yea, Tales of Symphonia was great too.

@Robo: An no Robo.  I will not play Tales of Vesperia until it either:

A) I get another Xbox (Will probably do this once the new Slimline Arcade is released)

B) They bring it to the PS3 (which they should have done ALONG time ago)

Make me wonder what the hell Bamco is thinking.  Maybe they want the Tales studio to struggle so they can sell it off? Who knows, they are mismanaging the hell out of it.

Is not that I hated the entire game. The story was amazing and the character development was good too. There's actually only two reasons as to why I disliked it:

1 - Luke von Fabre. Probably one of the most egocentric and asinine main character ever created. Granted, his character development is good, especially when he learns that he's just a replica of the real Luke, but even then, I had to put up with his attitude for way too long

2 - The battle system. It's not that it's bad per se, the problem was that it involved way too much mindless button mashing for the majority of the game. Thankfully, the complexity of the fonon circles as you go along the game adds new layers to the system.

1) I can see where you come from with Luke, my roomie also absolutely HATED the character.  For some reason Luke was one of my favorite parts.  Was just refreshing I Guess.  They usually do not go THAT FAR over the top with a character.  Watch an anime called Black Cats if you want an even worse asinine and egocentric character (Creed is also completely batshit crazy).

2) I agree with that.  It was rather mindless, tho for some reason that did not bother me at all at the time.  Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I doubt I will ever play the game again tho (I played Symp twice).

It's not that I dislike mindless combat in some JRPG's, but I played TOTA right after playing Tales of Phantasia, so it was a bit disappointing

I have played Symphonia twice too And Phantasia way too much to count the times

I noticed in the news that SE said all there games from now on will feature multi player, i don't understand the rational of putting a feature into games whether the games demands/needs it or not, logic would say treat each game on it's merits in regard to mp, i have a feeling some ones thought we are getting a bad reaction to FF13 on  feature set issues, so to compensate in the future we  chuck in mp and when they complain we say look there's all this mp to look forward to ,I'm not against mp far from it just this seems like a knee jerk reaction, what i want is variety as variety not linearity was for me the main issue and mp if its warranted.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

There is NOTHING worse than a game with MP just for the sake of saying "We have multiplayer"

In these situations they either focus way to much on MP (so singleplayer suffers) or not enough on MP (making it a big joke).  As far as RPGs go there are a few I can think of (that are not MMOs) that have great MP aspects, Demon's Souls and Borderlands.

ZOMG!! Do you have a link? :O
nvm found it. I hope thats for Europe too.

@lestat

lol. Going to Phantasia from ANY Tales game is the worst decision you can make. The combat is so outdated it makes it worse than France on this World Cup.

Damn that was harsh...

Not harsh enough.  France at the World Cup would = Extreme Paintbrawl of the video game world.
