@ssenkahdavic, u didnt like tales of vesperia ? its the best console tales game i think.

I disagree. I didn't quite enjoy Vesperia, true, but no Tales game has managed to reach the scope and epicness of Tales of Phantasia to me

And Dhaos is one of the best video game villains ever created. I felt terrible after killing him in the final battle

Tales of Phantasia does = Epicness.

And do tell why you dislike Abyss.  My roommate at the time HATED the game.  Ooo yea, Tales of Symphonia was great too.

Is not that I hated the entire game. The story was amazing and the character development was good too. There's actually only two reasons as to why I disliked it:

1 - Luke von Fabre. Probably one of the most egocentric and asinine main character ever created. Granted, his character development is good, especially when he learns that he's just a replica of the real Luke, but even then, I had to put up with his attitude for way too long

2 - The battle system. It's not that it's bad per se, the problem was that it involved way too much mindless button mashing for the majority of the game. Thankfully, the complexity of the fonon circles as you go along the game adds new layers to the system.

1) I can see where you come from with Luke, my roomie also absolutely HATED the character.  For some reason Luke was one of my favorite parts.  Was just refreshing I Guess.  They usually do not go THAT FAR over the top with a character.  Watch an anime called Black Cats if you want an even worse asinine and egocentric character (Creed is also completely batshit crazy).

2) I agree with that.  It was rather mindless, tho for some reason that did not bother me at all at the time.  Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I doubt I will ever play the game again tho (I played Symp twice).
