is anyone going to get the ico/sotc for the ps3 if the rumor is true for early next year ?

in the new opm it says in the ad for trinity universe a july release date. just in case didnt know.

@ Robo: Im up in the air on that one. I still have both games for the PS2 and a BC PS3. Guess it all depends on what they do (if they skimp out on the prerendered scenes like GoW Collection, I might skip it)

I will I never played ICO/SOTC but I'm not sure if I'll like them that much.

@Robo, I will , it also got me thinking , i don't know what Sonys got planned but ,i hope since they took BC out of the PS3( by the way doesn't affect me any i still have my original phat)
they might start a range of HD upgraded PS2 games , not just the occasional 2 or 3 game collection, they could also add a section in the store as well and obviously retail because of potential DL size issues, this again brought me to thinking/hoping that they are working on some type of compaction program for DL and also storage on the HD so sizes are shrunk but fidelity is kept, if they do market such a product what rpg's would you want to buy.
and would it be worth sonys time besides encouraging 3rd party's to choose this route, to also look at licencing games they don't own and lastly would it have even the slightest impact on used PS2 sales.

Wouldn't it be cool if we got a FFX/X-2/XII Collection?!!

@mjk45, hmm. 1st games that come to mind are the : dark cloud games in a comdo hd upgrade, would buy day 1 for sure. after that maybe a rogue galaxy, get square-enix to release a hd upgrade for final fantasy 10 / 10-2 ( would be in heaven ). namco with some tales games combo hd upgrades. i think it would be worth sony's time and the 3rd parties as well, gow collection proved that this can work with the right games , also having trophies would help the hd upgrades sales that is a given. i think it will drive down alot the chosen games to get the hd upgrade treatment.
how about u what hd upgrade rpg's would u want ?

@darth, like i said in my previous post to mjk45, i would want a ff 10/10-2 combo hd upgrade pack. if ff12 was put in to make it a 3 game deal, i would be ok with that though.

FFXII should be in the deal too, I know you didn't like it but it would be a good marketing strategy for them to have all main FF games from last gen in one combo

@ Robo. I would want a HD upgraded Suikoden pack, HD Shadow Hearts Pack (With or without SH3), HD Atelier Iris (1-3), HD Ar Tonelico.
