I haven't, played a pokemon rpg right through in long time, so long in fact i can't remember the version,the reason being every new one seemed to be 90% the same as the previous versions. so should i buy Soul silver or am i better off waiting for the next one since some one mentioned it was going to expand on the franchise let me know what you all think and your reasons

In my opinion, you should wait for the launch of Pokemon Black/White. 

Soul Silver and Heart Gold are pretty much the same games that Gold and Silver were back in the GB/GBC era, with a few additions of what the Diamond/Pearl games had done before, but nothing that was very innovative.

From what we have seen so far from Black/White, they're overhauling the entire series. Not only in terms of looks (it's going to be almost full 3D), but in also of the battle system itself. From what videos have shown, the entire battle processes more dinamycally and it has a whole different look to it. So far, that's the only thing we know, and even then it's more conjectures from the videos, than actual information released by Game Freaks.

Personally, I can't wait for them. I love the pokemon series and can't ever get tired from them, but from what has been shown so far, these games are going to give the series the much needed uplift. 

DQIX RELEASE DATE!

Can't wait for a summer full of DQ!

Can it be as good as DQV? I heard the response was mixed in Japan?

I don't know, DQV is a pretty high standard to go against

It did have a mixed response, but almost 4 M japanese people can't all be wrong with this game right?

Be it as it may, this summer is going to be epic for me. First DQ , then Starcraft 2 and then KH:BBS at the end of the summer  

@darth, yes i saw the release date. day 1 buy for sure, i think it can be as good as dq5 in my opinion. dragon quest 8 and now 9 both developed by LEVEL 5, which is a very good thing for me. btw does anyone know who is making dragon quest 10, is it LEVEL 5 again ?

Yeah I hope its atleast as good as DQIV which was good but way below the awesomesauce that was DQV.

Yeah summers gonna be epic, first as soon as exams end on June 28th I'm gonna get ME1 & ME2....by the time I complete them & of course work on the FFXIII Platinum at the slow pace I'm going at DQIX will be out!

I haven't playe DQVIII yet, I can't find it anywhere in my town.

It's still TBA so far, but given current relations between Nintendo and Level 5, it's the highest possibility.

Although, personally, I would love for Chunsoft to be back developing DQ games

that is what i can think of from the top of my head, the good thing is that my wife can help me out with these games. she loves rpg's all most as much as i do. :)

I hope that you can get the FFXIII platinum. It's tough, but nothing that you can't handle

That's an awesome list of games. From that list, I still have to play God of War 3 and maybe look into Trinity Universe. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is another day one buy to me, mainly because of the recent spoilers which hint at the remake of the entire Super Mario64 levels. So far, only one has been shown, but lots of people say there are more. 

@lestatdark, thanks. i think if u decide to get trinity universe, u should get cross edge as well. since they are basicly the same in style.
