My ranking would be:
- Dragon Quest V
- Dragon Quest II
- Dragon Quest VIII
- Dragon Quest I
- Dragon Quest IV
- Dragon Quest VI
- Dragon Quest III
- Dragon Quest VII
Dragon Quest VII was just...too generic

I think you can still find DQVII and DQVIII on e-bay. Especially DQVIII, since it was a PS2 game.

I still have a bunch of issues of old NES Nintendo Power. Have no idea if I got a gift or not tho.
which dungeon in a jrpg did u find the most challenging/interesting or fun ?
i liked the omega ruins in final fantasy 10, was fun.
the dungeon in infinite undiscovery after u beat the game, that was fun and challenging. also u could levup a huge amount in their as well.
the extra dungeon in star ocean : the last hope, that was challenging, interesting and fun.

Most challenging dungeons I've ever fought were:
- Moria Mines in Tales of Phantasia
- Valley of Defilement on Demon's Souls
- Great Crystal top levels (before Omega Mk. II) in FFXII
- Chamber of Rubiss in Dragon Quest II
- Tartarus: Sixth Block on Persona 3
- The Great Pyramid in Crystalis
