Halo 3 no doubt will be the best selling game of all time on the Xbox 360 unless 4 comes out. Before the end of the year I expect Halo to sell around 4-7 million copy's which is a **** load of games. When Halo 2 was launched it quickly became the fastest selling game in history.

Which is why Halo 3 AND Madden are very unlikely choices to win. Seriously guys look at the information!
In chronological order of release....
The Poll said "Which game is going to sell the most in America this holiday season?"
Meaning from black friday on. There is only one game that gets its launch week numbers into the holiday season and it is SSBB. This makes it the safest and most likely choice.
Edit: The definition of "Holiday Season" is pretty paramount here and it seems largely a matter of opinion. But I figured I would share this link to wikipedia's take on the matter.

How do you figure? Haolo 3 comes out a month and half prior to the holiday season, and Madden even sooner. Smash bros is only a little over a week after the holiday season, assuming you start it at Thanksgiving. So, you have to not count all the first+ month sales of Madden and Halo... and peek sales are generally at launch, which Smash Bros will be release right during the holiday season.

I still think that my original choice, Smash Bros, has a chance depending on the timeframe - which nobody can agree on, seemingly.

Hmm, that's a valid point. Is late September part of the holiday season?
