Forums - Microsoft - Wii Controller on the 360?

I could see this being mass-market in the $40-75 range for an embeded CPU to do the translation not counting the wii controllers.

I don't see how patents would be a problem. You still have to buy an official Nintendo controller to use it... I don't recall noticing any license that you could only use the remote on a wii...

If a game developer wanted to support this, it could be as an option. Thank of the PR boost they would get for being the "first" to allow a wiimote as an option. Obviously they wouldn't want to risk on making it a requirement...

Looks like it was working fairly well for Halo 2. The question is does it work better than the standard controller or not?

This is cool as hell.

I'd do it if I had the money. Of course, I am one of those people that hate the controls for FPS on consoles, but want to play the games for the story. An improvement to gameplay like this (provide it was actually an improvement) would be well worth the money I'd spend.

I wonder if it would ever be able to take control over the Playstation 3, or any other console.

Wouldn't this just help nintendo by boosting wiimote sales?

Wouldn't it be better for Microsoft and Sony to get increased system sales and game sales even if it helped Nintendo by boosting wimote sales? Otherwise, Nintendo gets the wimote sales, and the system sales, and the game sales, etc...  (not that it would be a bad thing...)

I wonder how it would work with a game like table tennis or virtua tennis 3 .....

Now I knew somebody would do something like this...but its to much stuff needed to use the WiiMote...so forget about it...

Completely off topic, but do you think you make your sig any bigger?  I just don't it's big enough yet.  I'm sure there's more useless crap you can put in there like pointless quotes and more ridiculously big pointless images.
