My friend is trying to convince me to buy this so we can play co-op, but I really hate horror games, and generally zombies, so how scary is this. It is just a case of like 100 zombies charging at you, or is it people jumping out at you in quiet dark corridors?

The game is unnerving unless you're a totally detached fuckwade like my friend Josh. The same guy who jumps at tiny sounds in real life doesn't blink an eye at scary games or movies

The game is not scary at all, although I did jump a bit the first time I startled a witch.

Well, if you turn out the lights, put on your surround sound, it can stir you a little at least... and really both jumping out of corners, and 100-zombie charges happen in this game.

It's not scary. It's stressfull and adrenaline fueling.

Try the demo on steam. It's free, and is a good indication of what you'll be facing.

EDIT: HUH!? This is weird. I cannot seem to access the demo. Has it been withdrawn? That's just silly!

It isn't scary, really. There just aren't many frights when you can hear things coming a mile away, particularly the crescendo events.

They took the demo down the night before release.

Oh? I thought I played it after release. That's really sad. T.T I enjoyed that demo very much.
