Home is a giant disappointment for me. The one hope I had was clubs, and then it turns out you need to pay money to start the club, and then after March of 09 there will be a monthly fee for it as well. I'm not paying until they get the rest of the online items working correctly or even close to live, which is not going to happen anytime soon. That's from saying they are willing to pay for PSn if it gets its act even close to Live

Huh?...I thought Home was completely free?

its not free ??!!

I knew it would be the most overhyped, underrated thing ever. I honestly laugh about how sony almost blackballed Kotaku about releasing a rumour about this crap. How embarrassed would they be now if they blackballed a blog like Kotaku about a mediocre app?

Yeah, I finally have a sig.

Lmao! Sweet review.

BETA????

I spent my Home in a territorial battle for me and my homies. It took an hour of foul language and heated dance offs to do it, but the mall on server 35 was claimed for the Grove Street Family.

So Home is hosted on different servers like WOW, vice one big server like EVE...hmmm...kinda figure it would be nearly impossible to host on one server, but I didn't want to underestimate the power of celllllllllll.....lol.  So I guess it's like Second Life...and you get alerts when friends come on.  Hmmm...think I'll stick with MMO's for my online experience.

what are you talking about ? ... more than 1 million people on the same server ?.. how crowded do you think it would be ? there wouldn't be any room to move at all.. it has nothing to do with the cell.

I think people are bashing it too much. Give it a break :\ it seems pretty cool from what i've tried so far. Ofcourse it needs more content but it's bound to come along.

The point of home is to socialise and meet new people... you'll need a keybord or a mic to do that properly.. i don't have either.. but when i get one of them (well i don't have a usb keybord anyways) i'll also socialise :P

and it is free to use. However, there are microtransactions if you want expanded options .. It's a good idea ... if sony gets more games and more content on here, a lot of people will probably shell out for the microtransactional content.. which in terms will mean money for sony to give us good games

Check out my game about moles ^

Open Beta is to stress test a software and work out some bug before release, NOT to frigging redesign the software...WTF...I've beta TONs of MMOs and non-mmo...and they are normally indicative of what you can expect from the real thing...ESPECIALLY one with a reelase date in 10 days.

Go back and read my post, it seriously takes the majority of negative comments people are saying about HOME and makes the comments look childish and completely irrelevant... heres the Red Bull space trailer again...

are you stupid or something?

its only just launched, sony have said on the opening disclaimer that they will add and improve to home.

ive tried it and i liked it thats all that matters.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I don't think what Home needs is more flash games, themed rooms and micro transactions. The problem with home is, and get ready for it....it's a bad idea. Home is pointless, it serves no purpose. NO PURPOSE. A way to meet people and talk about videogames? Isn't that what the frikkin internet was made for? And is much better at it than home to boot. What home should've been, is you click on the home Icon then it takes you to your favorite website message board. That would elimate the entire need for home (not that there is a need for home).

What does home do that can't be done better on a browser or in the XMB? Cheap flash games? Chatting? Meeting people? Watching Videos? Listening to music? Getting info on upcoming games? Joining online matches of games you own? Nothing, and the way it's set up it can't beat a browser or media bar in any of those areas and never will no matter how many flash games, and sofas they put in it. There is no distinctive advantage or purpose for using home.

And the interwebs know this, the press and public opinion of Home has been grevious. Sony has made a huge fuck up with this thing. They are making themselves look like asses again. They should have just said "look, this wasn't such a great idea after all" and swept it under the rug, everyone would've forgotten about home in two weeks time.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

If they keep working away at it, they might have a "non-Beta" version of Home ready for the PS4 launch.

I know Sony need extra revenue - and fast - but this is not the way to generate it!
