Bear in mind the 360 had supply issues for the 1st Nov and Dec. Also PS3 received a price cut in the 1st Nov.

Doesn't look good for the 360 holding onto that 2nd place in Others. PS3 should take 2nd place quiet easily, and when this gen is over, by a large margin too.

It's too late to spin any sort of PS3 sales into a positive thing. The media and the public have already made there decision. Hating on Sony is the cool thing to do right now to 90% of the gamers on this site.

As we speak now, mods and users here on hating on Sony on another thread, going on and on about CNN articles and 2006/7 mistakes (Price, sell 5 million with no games blah blah death to Sony)

They hate on Blu-Ray only because it's associated with Sony and the PS3, they hate on there exclusives and any one hyping there games. Posting every negative article from amazon to Cnn, to eurogamer. As soon as someone says something positive about Sony or PS3, there laughed at, accused of being a fanboy and wasting there time. When all the while other gamers are making threads hyping Huxley, or Cry on or any other game.

This Gen is very hypocritical and any attempt to climb back into the race will see more media sites, more backlash and more hate directed at Sony. The majority of the gamer population wants them to fail no matter how good there exclusives are.

I own both the 360 and the PS3, but i've always been a playstation fan and the PS3 is my preferred system. But it's a known fact that the media and the public will continue to hate on Sony even throughout 09 with it's great line up....

I don't think a second place is guaranteed for them at all.

3 million people bought a console this month in USA, not 1 of them was a PS3.
However you choose to spin it that is bad and looks very bad for the future. Image is everything as they say.

They can be 300k down in Europe when they're 7 million up in NA.

Wow... so a 360 which sold really bad the first 2 years, gains tremendous ground and sells better this year than the PS3!  Way to set us up for more PS3 dissapointment, trombi.
