Will the Ps3 or X360 break the trend, and be the 2nd "losing" console to have a game sell 10M? Looks like 360 will.

One thing that should be noted though. Every single game that has passed 10M this gen has/will also pass 15M. This is the first one that won't.

As for 32, these are the contestants.

Halo 3 - 8499K. Still sells a good 15-20K weekly, but would probably not make it before late 2010, if ever.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 7486K. Sells 40-50K weekly. Should make it around the same time as Halo 3, but this one definately will. 

Super Mario Galaxy -  7438K. Sells about the same as Brawl (~ 5K less weekly), but seems like it is going to keep at it for a while. No doubt it will make 10M, and perhaps before the 2 above.

Wii Sports Resort - not yet released. Depending on sales, it could make it (well, duh! Most meaningless sentence ever). Has a very good change, but probably won't make it very quickly. Still could easily beat most others.

No other released titles have a real chance.

Halo 3 - 8,516,440, it sold 55k WW last week. Should reach 8.75 mill by years end.

If it goes on to sell 20k weekly (with the momentum the 360 has going into 2009 it wouldn't surprise me if it sold more) then by end of september it should sell another 780k putting it just above 9.5 mill. Then we have yet another 3 months of the year, a christmas boost and ODST to bump sales. It can do it before 2010.

ya i think that the DS game to hit 10 mil will be AC... the only other with a shot is Pokemon Plat..... I see that one coming in at around 8 mil though.

Ah yes, the DS Seven. Those seven incredible games with monster sales on monster legs. Animal Crossing may be the laggard of the bunch (the other 6 are STILL charting in the DS's top 10), but it's proving it's worth and might get a boost from the Wii version.

I wonder if any other games will make that milestone. The top contenders so far are

Super Mario 64 DS at 6.34 Million with 40,533 sales in it's 210th week

Big Brain Academy at 5,59 million with 89,11 sales in it's 179th week.

...I wonder if Sonic and Mario at the Beijing Olympics can make it.

It's definitely going to give it the old college try!

Like I said dont forget Pokemon Plat.

it can slip by because it has not gotten released in the west yet.
