I think wii is approaching demand in other areas and soon Japan, but they still will not meet demand in the US this year, which will give Sony and 360 an edge, and it's also the time of year that people are more willing to pay the higher price if that's what they really want. So, I expect the wii to loose ground in November and especially Decemember, but to go back in the lead after the 1st of the year. My guess, wii outsells the combined 360+PS3 in March 08.

PS: It doesn't matter if sales slow down in other area... the consoles will just be shipped to America to help meet demand there. Demand will not be met in America to the point of slowing sales until May 08.

I still don't get how everyone says Sony has the weakest lineup this winter.

I look at that and Think holly smokes the PS3 has a freakin awsome lineup. I fail to see how the 360 and Wii have a better lineup. The PS3 has more games over more genres, with better developers. This winter the PS3 will sell just less tham the Wii, if it is stock, or just better if Nintendo can't keep demand. Early next year the PS3 will be unstopable. There is no way the Wii will ever outsell the 360 and PS3 combine. Once GTA4 hits Nintendos fun will end.

To me it looks like this for Sony:

August to December 07- Get the ball rolling, Take down the Xbox, and start to envade the Wii. Let our Br partners help us out and get that name established in the head of every consumer.

January to June 08- Let LBP keep up holiday momentum. MGS4 pushes the talk up another level. Price drop to 399.99 right before GTA4. PS3 360 price differance 50 USD. People remember the Blu Ray stuff from last christmas and pick up PS3 over 360. Keep all of our new ownsers happy with Killzone 2 Gamers Day 08 new IPs, what to expect at E3, and what is coming in holiday 08.

July to December 08-Steal the show at E3 again. Amazing new IPs, Holiday games looking much better than 360, and God of War 3 shown. Nothing can touch their 08 holiday lineup so all they got to do is deliver the goods, and promote it well.

PS3 won't surpass Wii/360 CURRENT combined sales by November 2009.

you make a good point about the PS line up, but to be honest hardly any former PS2 owners I know have heard or would even give a s**t about most of those games.

The only 4 they would maybe care about are ratchet and clank,wipeout, gt5 prologue and nba live 08.

Sorry but casuals don't give a damn about uncharted and folklore. Hell,I'm into games a lot and read up on software for most consoles and even i don't care about those games.

However DMC 4 and MGS4 i care about for ps3, but seeing as 360 is now getting dmc 4, all i need a ps3 for is mgs4...
