Or a Battlefield type game....

I just finished playing COD:WAW and MOH:Heros2 for the first time.  While they were ok, they are way too story driven and kind of got old.  I preferred MOH -- COD controls seemed slow and clunky and neither allowed any control customization which was a huge let-down (though MOH at least allowed better control over turning speed).  I will admit playing the original COD on my PC was a much better experience, but Battlefield was still much more fun.  No boring cut scenes to sit through and the open environment is something I really appreciate -- makes you think about how you want to take over a control point and defend it, and if you die, you just come back as another soldier and continue with the battle.

It's way beyond me why EA does not release a Battlefield game for the Wii.  I'd even be happy with a re-incarnation of the original.

yeah that would be cool but i doubt they would sell well i mean look at the other titles compared to their HD console brotheren they haven't done great :(

driving the many vehicles would never work.... especially the heli and planes. You would never be able to backflip a heli over the enemy behind you like me and blast the hell out of them.

I think Star Wars: Battlefront 3 is supposed to go to the Wii but that is still rumored.

Hmm how much have you played the other games.  IN SW: BF2 i own a spot in the top 10 on one of the leaderboards.  Pretty proud of that.  Wonder if I still ahve that spot.  Was pretty high up there.

played the other games on Xbox for like 10 hours each... not long but I got that sense of spamming = best way to kill or just use force powers or light saber. Basic aiming was to much of an annoyance since unless you find a perfect place to snipe, yes snipe with a laser pistol or any other decent ranged weapon, you might as well get mid range to someone and either let auto-lockon assist or spam away.

Ooh well you would have been screaming if you ever had to play me. Mobile snipe running around getting no scope headshots the entire game haha. Used to piss people off so much. I mean its pretty sad when a guy with a sniper can outgun someone 2 ft away who has a shotgun haha.

I may never sleep again....

This will be a must have title if done right.  Battlefront 1 was great (never played 2 -- wonder if it would work on my aging PC...)

I'd still like to see a "world war" version for the Wii as well.  I never really cared for shooters until I played 1942, and that was an instant addiction.  Battlefront is just as good, though a somewhat different experience.  I think I may petition EA to release 1942 again on WiiWare.

The controls will work out fine with all the different vehicles.  It was fine on a PC, and the Wii actually gives you better control.
